為了解決garmin 955登山的問題,作者巴戈那 這樣論述:

Current available systems calculate energy expenditure based on location information embedded in Google map with considering altitude when jogging or hiking. All the trails are deemed as flat level with a slope of 0 degree, which results in inducing great error when calculating energy expenditures.

In this study, a smartphone-based system for health promotion and energy expenditure monitoring of gradient walking was developed under the Android platform. A smartphone app system adopting GPS and motion detectors accompanied with digitized altitude information on mountain trails was developed fo

r calculation energy expenditure with great accuracy in real-time manner.Garmin Dakota 20 was used to digitize the location and altitude information of mountain trails at Daken, a suburban area located in Taichung city, Taiwan. A total of 5 popular mountain trails have been digitized. The digitized

information was recorded and stored in the smart phone, which are then overlapped on the Google map for trail guiding as well as for calculating energy expenditure during hiking. The energy expenditure was calculated based on Kramer’s equation which considers trail slope, as well as weight, hiking v

elocity, and gender of the tourist. Five graduate students were recruited to use the system for testing its usefulness. In the first experiment, a male graduate student with a weight of 68 Kg and a height of 178 cm was asked to walk repeatedly for 9 times along a level track with a perimeter of 232m

on a university sport field. Under an average walking speed of 1.45±0.13 m/sec, the mean consumed energy was 5.47±0.66 kcal/min obtained from the developed App calculated that is not significant different 4.82±0.66 kcal/min from the equation calculated, without reaching significant difference (Stude

nt’s t-test, p>0.05). It indicates the accuracy of the developed system. The subject was further asked to hike on 4 mountain trails in round trip by keeping almost the similar mean speed (p>0.05) in the second experiment. It was observed that hiking uphill consumes more energy than downhill for all

the 4 trails (p
