對ESL/EFL 學習者而言,精進英語寫作能力是非常困難的事(Alfaki, 2015)。因此,有些研究將重點放在哪些因素會影響寫作表現(Soleimani et al, 2020)。此外,前人也研究了寫作過程與寫作表現之間的關係(Chou & Feng,2019;Wahdan & Buragohain,2018;Zarrabi & Bozorgian,2020)。然而,很少有研究探討 EFL學習者的寫作過程。因此,本研究目的是探討透過EFL 學生的寫作表現來觀察他們寫作過程中的差異。臺灣南部一所科技大學的 35 名大三學生在期末考試中用電腦寫了一篇 40 分鐘的議論文文章,並使用螢幕錄影記

錄他們的寫作過程。寫作過程中的每個動作被歸類在五個寫作策略之一,即構思、打字、修改、校訂和查字典。本研究有三個主要發現。首先,寫作表現與構思的多寡有明顯地負相關,但寫作表現與打字的多寡卻呈現正相關。此外,迴歸分析顯示寫作過程可以在一定程度上預測學生的寫作表現。其次,為了進一步探究寫作過程對寫作表現的影響,將學生按照寫作分數分為三組進行比較。結果顯示,寫作分數高的學生傾向於花更多的時間在打字上,而寫作分數低的學生花更多的時間在構思上。此外,當剩下十分鐘時,分數高的學生比分數低的學生打的字更多。令人驚訝的是,除了打字和構思,在其他寫作策略裡,三組並沒有明顯差異。最後,寫作策略的順序圖顯示,寫作表現
